How Does ScroGro® Work And What Can It Do?
ScroGro™ is a minimally invasive, nonsurgical, in-office procedure designed to make your balls look bigger. We can make them hang lower, plump them up, or both depending on your desire. Typical patients are those looking to enhance the size and appearance of their bulge because of genetics or acquired shrinkage such as testicular atrophy secondary to testosterone replacement therapy. Fuller relaxed balls may enhance the sexual experience as your sack will receive more attention. At time testicles are retracted and tucked away into the background and ignored during sexual activity. ScroGro™ allows the testicles to remain descended and more prominent since we can increase the appearance of their size. They become easier to manipulate and to provide oral stimulation. Partners also report enhanced pleasure from the sound and tactile stimulation of the relaxed pendulous ball sack slapping against them during intercourse..
To make them hang lower
We can use anti-wrinkle treatment medication known as neurotoxins ("Tox") or neuromodulators like Botox®, Dysport®, or Xeomin® to relax the muscles responsible for retraction, the Dartos and Cremaster muscles. "Tox" temporarily paralyzes these muscles resulting in significant descent of both the scrotum and testicles.allowing them to hang lower and to reduce the appearance of wrinkles, much like stepping out of a hot tub. This is better known as Scrotox™ In the aesthetic vernacular. Scrotal Tox also serves as antiperspirant treatment to address a condition known as hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating).
To make them bigger
We can use HA (hyaluronic acid) Filler to plump up the scrotum so that they appear larger. HA is a natural component of the body found in skin, joints, synovial fluid, aqueous humour, etc.. HA Filler is simply a manufactured biocompatible gel designed to occupy space in your body. For this indication, it is injected into the Scrotum. The added weight also enhances the hang whether assisted by Scrotal Tox or not.
How is done?
The procedure takes about 30-60 minutes. A topical local anesthetic is applied and allowed to sit for 20 minutes. There should be little to no discomfort because of the numbness provided by the topical local anesthetic. The area is cleansed and disinfected prior to injection to minimize infection risk. You decide if you want a larger size or better hang or both. "Tox" and Filler can be administered at the same time.
Are there any contraindications?
Contraindications to ScroGro™ would include use of blood thinners (Coumadin, Plavix), allergy to the neurotoxin or filler, skin infection of the scrotum, and recent scrotal trauma. ScroGro™ may affect fertility as the scrotum is incapable of regulating temperature by ascending or descending. This treatment should be avoided if you wish to father a child. It is in no way not meant to replace contraception either. If there is any scarring of the scrotum, relaxation may not be achieved in that specific area.
Will My Balls Look Unnatural? What Can I Expect?
Outcomes are very natural in appearance and texture and there is no lumpiness. The size increase is immediately appreciated and may last 9-12 months and perhaps much longer. For the drop you may notice changes as early as 3-5 days but the effects will peak at about 10-14 days. The benefits may last 3-6 months depending on dosing and severity of retractions. Both durations depend upon dose and individual patient response.
